HUNTSVILLE, AL - A woman arrested on animal cruelty charges in March
is in trouble again. Madison County deputies raided Laura Lifer's
property earlier this year. Now, her business is under the microscope
again.
We asked to speak to Lifer and a lady passing by shut the door that
exposed where dogs stayed at the KK & Co Pet Grooming and Boarding.
Finally, someone talked to us.
"We're just wanting to talk to her about the animal cruelty charges
she's facing," said WHNT NEWS 19's Amber Stuart
"Honestly, I couldn't help you with that," the girl replied. "She's
not here today. I don't know if she's going to be by."
In March, deputies arrested Laura Lifer and charged her with 14 counts
of cruelty to animals. Deputies say they found dead horses on her
property off Hammond Lane.
