UNION CITY -- Animal cruelty officers found 70 dead cats in a house
Thursday in Union City.
The home's owner had wrapped them in trash bags and stacked them in
two freezers, said Joe Grisanti, the executive director of the Humane
Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
"They were all neatly and carefully wrapped," Grisanti said.
The freezers were in a spare bedroom in the home, on Odell Street,
Grisanti said.
At least one cat was being kept in the home's refrigerator, he said. A
dead kitten was found in a compartment of an entertainment center,
beneath the TV.
