Fwd: new website for the benefit of all animal rescuers

 My friends,

I just wanted to let you know that Karen and I have started a new websitedevoted to everyone who is involved in Animal Rescue. It's called TheInternational Registry of Animal Rescuers (aka The Rescue Registry) and isopen to everyone who wishes to participate. The mission of The Rescue Registry is to give everyone who is in Rescue acommon site to visit, whether it's to seek information or guidance, share anexperience that may answer another Rescuer's question, share their feelingsover a rescue that has a positive outcome (or, conversely, a negativeresult), alert the community about a situation that involves stray orhomeless animals, the possibilities are pretty much unlimited. After we lost our newborn kitten Micro and his siblings in July ago wediscussed the need for just such a site, so that we can become stronger andbetter Rescuers. At that time we realized that, despite what we think weknow there is so much more to learn and so many others that we may be ableto exchange information with. We hope that this site will be just what weall need. There is no fee to become a member of The Rescue Registry, nor will we everask you for money in any form. We also do not recognize limits on breeds orspecies of animal. After all, a soul in need is a soul in need, no matterwhat. Once again, the only purpose of the website is to serve as a commonground for all Rescuers so that we may all become better at serving the poorsouls that need us the most. We invite you to visit the site at [link] andplease tell us what you think. We are open to any and all suggestions and want to tailor the site tofulfill your needs as Rescuers.
